Brick

v1.0.0Sin usos todavía

Brick Bond lays a running-bond masonry wall across any face you pick: courses of bricks, each row offset half a brick from the one below, separated by an even mortar joint. The stagger is what makes it work — it breaks up the vertical seams, so even at small scale the surface reads as a real wall instead of a grid of rectangles. Every brick is real geometry, generated from the face's own bounding box at regeneration time, so the coursing re-lays itself whenever the panel changes size. The Style switch is the interesting parameter. In holes mode — the default — the bricks are relieved: each brick face is inset by the mortar width, so bricks stand proud in emboss or recess in engrave while the mortar grid stays at base level. In walls mode it inverts and the joints themselves are grooved between flush bricks. Brick length and brick height are independent, so the same object gives you standard brickwork, square stacked stone, or long flat cladding; Mortar sets the joint width and Rotation spins the coursing. Keep Mortar at roughly twice your nozzle width — around 0.8 mm on a 0.4 mm nozzle, 1.5 mm if the joints should stay clearly readable. Depth of 0.6 to 1.5 mm is plenty; on small bricks scale the joint down too, or the mortar inset eats the brick face. Good for architectural models and dioramas, planter walls, enclosure panels with a bit of period character, coasters, signage backdrops, model railway scenery and miniature facades.

Parámetros

Este objeto expone estos parámetros. Los ajustas al colocarlo en el editor.

  • Brick lengthNúmero

Face length of a single brick. With brick height, sets the masonry proportion — square reads as stone, long and flat as cladding.

    Rango
    4 – 200 mm
  • Brick heightNúmero

Face height of a single brick, i.e. the course height.

    Por defecto
    8 mm
    Rango
    2 – 100 mm
  • Mortar jointNúmero

Joint width between bricks. In holes style it is also how far each brick face is inset.

    Rango
    0.3 – 20 mm
  • RotationNúmero

Spins the whole coursing about the face anchor.

    Rango
    -180 – 180 deg
  • DepthNúmero

How deep the relief is cut, or how far it stands proud.

    Por defecto
    1.2 mm
    Rango
    0.1 – 20 mm
  • StyleOpción

holes relieves the bricks (mortar grid stays at base level); walls relieves the mortar joints between flush bricks.
