Gridfinity Container
Gridfinity Container is a full bin, built to the public standard (Zack Freedman, 2022 — gridfinity.xyz / kennetek), parametric from the moment you drop it. Set the footprint in foot cells, the height in 7 mm units, the wall thickness, and whether you want the stacking lip, and you have a bin that plugs into any real baseplate and accepts any real bin on top. Its base is the male counterpart of the Gridfinity Base sockets, so the two are guaranteed to mate. Every standard dimension is baked in: 42 mm grid pitch, 41.5 mm foot with the designed 0.25 mm gap per side, the 0.8 / 1.8 / 2.15 three-chamfer foot totalling 4.75 mm, a footprint of cells times 42 minus 0.5 mm, and height in exact 7 mm modules. One three-chamfer foot per cell, with the 0.5 mm grooves between feet that a baseplate's inter-cell walls seat against. Because it is a smart object rather than a downloaded STL, the whole bin stays editable inside your timeline — change the cell count or the height after the fact and it rebuilds, and you can cut dividers, pockets or labels into it as ordinary features. It prints upright, feet down, with no support: the foot overhangs are the standard self-supporting 45-degree chamfers and the lip is a shallow inner bevel. Wall 1.2 mm is a good general default, 0.8 mm is light and fast, 2 to 3 mm makes a heavy-duty bin.
